  • Names the webcams it will not fit — the Logitech C270 and C310 — rather than claiming universal fit
  • The clamp opens to only 1.8 in, the narrowest in this hub, which rules out a thick desktop

Two numbers and one exclusion make this listing useful. The arm is 25 in including the ball head, the maximum load is 1.0 lb, and the clamp opens to 1.8 in — which is enough for an ordinary desktop and not enough for a thick one.

The exclusion is the part worth paying attention to. InnoGear lists the Logitech webcams it fits and then names two it does not: the C270 and the C310. Those two mount on a folding plastic foot with no tripod socket, so no amount of thread compatibility helps. The other stands on this shelf describe compatibility by the 1/4 in thread alone and leave you to discover which devices do not have one.

The rest is conventional and complete: a 360-degree ball head on a knob, a 1/4 in thread, an anti-scratch sponge pad on the clamp, and a spring-loaded phone holder extending to 4 in. At 1.0 lb the limit is the lowest published on this shelf — fine for a webcam, and the figure to check before putting a large phone in a heavy case or a ring light on the same arm.

What holds up, and what does not

Best for: A webcam on a thin desktop, where the arm has to be short enough to stay still.

Strengths

  • Publishes a maximum load, 1.0 lb, and the gooseneck length including the ball head, 25 in
  • Names the webcams it will not fit — the Logitech C270 and C310 — rather than claiming universal fit
  • Spring-loaded phone holder extending to 4 in, included
  • 360-degree ball head adjusted by a knob, and a 1/4 in thread
  • Anti-scratch sponge pad on the clamp

Compromises

  • The clamp opens to only 1.8 in, the narrowest in this hub, which rules out a thick desktop
  • A 1.0 lb limit is the lowest published figure on this shelf, against 1.5 and 1.76 lb on the JCWINY stands
  • A 25 in gooseneck is short next to the 30 and 36.6 in arms here, which may not clear a tall monitor
  • No base or clamp material published

What buyers ask us first

Why would a webcam not fit a 1/4 inch thread?

Because some do not have one. InnoGear names the exception — "expect for Logitech Webcam C270 C310" — and those two models mount with a folding plastic foot rather than a tripod socket, so there is nothing to screw a stand into. It is the only listing on this shelf to publish an exclusion, and it is the kind that otherwise costs a return.

Is a 1.8 inch clamp enough?

For a typical 18 to 25 mm (0.71 to 0.98 in) desktop, comfortably. For a thick butcher-block or a desk with a bullnose edge, no — 1.8 in (4.6 cm) is the narrowest clamp in this hub, where the stands around it open to 2.56 and 2.7 in. The clamp opening is one of the four figures a stand purchase turns on, and this is the one where this stand is most restricted.
