Apart from the Ketofa pair, everything else on this shelf is a cushion that goes over the armrest. This is the part the armrest is made of. When a PU pad has cracked through to the bracket, padding it is a cosmetic answer; unbolting it and fitting a new one is the actual repair, and this hub’s whole introduction is about the measurement that decides whether you can.

Podoy publishes that measurement and repeats it: 4 in, 100 mm, center to center, and explicitly not 5 in or 5.5 in. It also publishes the second dimension that has to match, the underside bracket cutout at 5 7/8 by 1 7/8 in, and the thread size, M6 — which nothing else on this shelf states. The box holds two pads distinguished left and right, four screws, four washers and a wrench.

The honest caveat is what it leaves you with: solid PU, the same kind of hard pad as the one that failed — Podoy publishes no thickness or firmness, only that it resists cracking and wipes clean with a damp cloth. If the complaint is a sore elbow rather than a cracked pad, the memory foam cushions in this hub are the answer and this is not. And it has a near-twin alongside it — the Ketofa pads share the size, the cutout and the spacing, differing in that they ship with screws alone, at about $17 against $16 here.

What holds up, and what does not

Best for: A chair with 4 in hole centers and arm pads that have cracked through, where covering them up is not the answer.

Strengths

  • Publishes the hole spacing as a specification, not a guess — 4 in, 100 mm, center to center
  • States what it is NOT compatible with: 5 in and 5.5 in spacings
  • Gives the underside bracket cutout as well, 5 7/8 by 1 7/8 in, which is the second dimension that has to match
  • States the thread size, M6, which no other pad on this shelf does
  • Includes four screws, four washers and an installation wrench, with left and right pads distinguished — and reads about $16, a dollar under the Ketofa pair that ships screws only

Compromises

  • Useless on a chair with any spacing other than 4 in, as the listing itself says
  • Solid PU rather than memory foam — this replaces a hard pad with another hard pad
  • Nearly the same specification as the Ketofa pads alongside it in this hub, down to the bracket cutout
  • No thickness published for the pad itself

What buyers ask us first

How do I measure the hole spacing?

From the center of one mounting hole to the center of the other, on the underside of the existing pad, with the pad off the chair. Podoy states the requirement twice, as a specification and again as an instruction: the pads are designed for a 4 in — 100 mm — hole spacing measured center to center, you are asked to measure before ordering, and the listing adds that they are "Not compatible with 5" or 5.5" mounting hole spacing." That is the single measurement this hub’s buying tip names, and this is one of only two listings on the shelf that publish it.

What is the difference from the Ketofa pads here?

What is in the box. Both are 10 by 4 in PU pads cut for 4 in centers with a 5 7/8 by 1 7/8 in underside cutout, sold as a left-and-right pair, and both rule out 5 and 5.5 in spacings (Ketofa adds electric wheelchairs). Ketofa supplies four screws. Podoy supplies four screws, four washers and a wrench, and publishes the thread as M6. The two part numbers, 10U0509 and 10A0138, follow the same numbering scheme. On price the Podoy also reads about a dollar less, $16 against $17.
