The only chair mat here stated safe over underfloor heating — for hard floors only
Kernburg appears once on this site, in chair floor mats, with its transparent hard-floor mat.
Underfloor heating. It is the only mat in the hub stated suitable for rooms with underfloor heating; the Björn&Schiller, Grünthaal and KLINOO listings say nothing about it.
For hard floors only. Laminate, parquet and tile. Hard-floor and carpet mats use different undersides, and either slides on the wrong floor — the KLINOO and Björn&Schiller are sold for carpet as well.
Size and material. 90 × 120 cm (35.4 × 47.2 in), the same as the Grünthaal and KLINOO, and transparent so the floor shows through. Kernburg describes BPA-free, recyclable plastic made in Germany, without naming the plastic or giving a thickness — the Björn&Schiller is the only mat here to state one, 1.5 mm. A textured surface keeps it in place under daily rolling, and Kernburg says it damps footstep and rolling noise.
It had no US price when we checked.
