Hama

The only mouse pad here — and the only wrist rest with a published height

Hama appears once on this site, in wrist rests and mousepads, with its Ergo gel mouse pad.

Pad and rest in one. A 25.5 × 21.5 cm (10 × 8.5 in) mousing surface for optical and laser mice — just short of A4 — with a gel cushion and memory foam rest along its front edge, on a rubberized non-slip base. It is the only mouse pad in the hub; the ELZO, LogiLink and VAYDEER are keyboard rests.

A height you can check. The rest is 2.1 cm (0.8 in) high — the only rest height published in the hub. Compare it with your mouse: a rest close to the mouse’s height lets the hand move between them without a step. And a rest is for pauses, not for anchoring the wrist while you move the mouse — should your elbows be supported while typing? covers it.

Claims we do not repeat. Hama’s listing claims an effect against tendinitis; this site does not repeat that as a medical claim.

The price. About $24 on Amazon.com when we checked, roughly twice the €12 it read on amazon.de and the £11 on amazon.co.uk.
